  • Check-in will take place on 6th Street between Cypress Ave and Loma, on the side of the Dave Shaw building at 601 Cypress Ave.

  • Yes. A section of Cypress Street will be closed for the event. 6th street and 8th street are open.

  • Limited parking is available on a first come, first served basis at Laney LA, located at 725 Cypress Ave, Hermosa Beach. Shuttle transportation will be available from the lot to the check-in location.

    Additional public parking is available near the event on a first come, first served basis. Closest options include South Park Parking Lot (1320 Valley Dr, Hermosa Beach) with ADA and public parking access, Laney LA (725 Cypress Ave, Hermosa Beach) with shuttle transportation to check-in, the free public parking lot at 861 Valley Dr, Hermosa Beach, the Hermosa Beach 12-Hour Parking Lot (1035 Valley Dr, Hermosa Beach), the Community Center Parking Lot (710 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach), and the Municipal Parking Structure (1301 Hermosa Ave, Hermosa Beach). Additional street parking may also be available along Valley Drive between Pier Avenue and 2nd Street and throughout nearby residential streets where posted.

  • Yes. ADA parking will be available in several locations near the event:

    Reserved ADA parking spaces will be available along 6th Street near check-in at 601 Cypress Ave, Hermosa Beach. Additional ADA parking will be available at Media Nug (638 Cypress Ave, Hermosa Beach), outside of Details Tile & Stone (636 Cypress Ave, Hermosa Beach), Kadampa Meditation Center (500 6th St, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254) and at South Park Parking Lot (1320 Valley Dr, Hermosa Beach). ADA access points are located at the corner of 6th Street and Cypress Avenue and on Cypress near the road barriers. Please see the security officers stationed nearby for assistance and directions.

  • Parking is limited, so we recommend walking, biking, or using Lyft/Uber when possible.

  • Yes. Bike racks are available on 6th Street between Valley Drive and Cypress Avenue. Also available in the Media Nug parking lot.

  • Yes. ADA access is available at the corner of 6th Street and Cypress Avenue. We have elevator access and a lounge to rest in once you are inside the event. Please see the security officers stationed at these locations for entrance assistance and directions.

  • Check-in will take place on 6th Street between Cypress Ave and Loma, on the side of the Dave Shaw building at 601 Cypress Ave. Please find Amira, Rebecca and Cory at the volunteer check-in table to receive specific information about your role.

  • Yes. By attending the State of the Art Fundraiser on Saturday, May 16, 2026, you acknowledge that photography, video, and audio recording may occur throughout the event. Images and recordings may be used by the State of the Art Fundraiser and its partners for promotional, marketing, archival, press, fundraising, website, social media, and future event purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please notify a team member before or during the event and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your request.

Important information for the attendees of State of the Art:

For the event, a section of Cypress Street will be closed off.

Check in will be on 6th street between Cypress and Loma on the side of the building at 601 Cypress.

As parking may be difficult, we recommend walking, biking, or taking Lyfts/Ubers.

Bike racks are available on 6th Street between Valley and Cypress.

Parking is available on a first come first serve basis at Laney LA, 725 Cypress Ave, Hermosa Beach. We will have transportation available to shuttle you to the check in point.

Additional parking is available on Valley between Pier Ave and Second Street.

ADA access is available at the corner of 6th and Cypress and on Cypress near the road barriers. Please see the security officer posted at these locations entrance and directions.

Handicapped Parking spots available in front of 652 Cypress (enter Cypress from 8th St).
